Nele Mertens is currently working as the Series First Assistant Editor on the 6th season of The Crown. She has recently worked as a VFX editor on The Essex Serpent (currently on Apple TV) and as the First Assistant Editor on The Lost King (to be released in October 2022).
Nele Mertens has studied film in Belgium and the United States, where she also taught an undergraduate film class. Besides working as an assistant editor she enjoys editing independent projects.
